Briefly explains the important role played by the invention of Cang-Jie, the first Chinese computer system, in salvaging Chinese characters from electronic obsolescence, and pays tribute to the inventor, his team of researchers, and those who helped build this book. -INTRODUCTION: Advantages of the Cang Jie Input Method: Where we compare Phonetic Input Methods with Graphic Input Methods like the Cang-Jie method, and gain preliminary insight as to the simplicity of this method’s principles as well as its higher efficiency, especially to assist students remember the structure of characters and to allow high speed typing for professionals. -CHAPTER 1: First Steps: Main- Signs & First rules: The Cang-Jie input method is made of two ingredients: graphics (the signs) and rules. This first chapter introduces the main signs, their keyboard representation, and the indispensable basic rules to start hands-on inputting characters. - CHAPTER 2: The Secondary Signs:The second chapter introduces to the secondary signs, and clears the questions of the delimitating the signs when they are in complex situations. - CHAPTER 3 : Sign Selection Rules:The main elements having been digested in the two first chapters, we present here the rules of determining the number and the position of the signs which representative codes have to be inputted to obtain a specific character.
